Drawback of being Nice, It’s time to be “YOU”!

Image
Hello People! It’s been a while that I have shared anything lately. But trust me, I was not in a state of sharing anything, but perhaps this amazing experience that I had is actually worth sharing with you guys! This post of mine is not related to Digital Marketing but it is one of those feeling which makes you realize what life is, and to get over things to actually live you life. There is such a thing as being too nice, too giving and too caring. To overcome depression you must stop the habit of bending over to gain people’s approval . I know it’s easier said than done. But no one said it’d be easy. Those who are affected by depression tend to be people-pleasures . And yet, ironically, quite often their actions are viewed by others as selfish and self-centered. For past so many years I believed in that crap myself. I believed I was selfish and self-involved. I was convinced I had nothing to offer. I also thought that it didn’t matter what I thought. That my opini...

What’s in a Team ?

Image
Hey People, How are you all?   Today I will be discussing a story which everyone has heard of , But this time I will be modifying the story to make you guys understand that how a chain reaction of meanings can be extracted by a single story ! All you have to do is to modify it a bit! Source: Google Once upon a time a turtle and a rabbit had an argument about who was faster . They decided to settle the argument with a race. The turtle and rabbit both agreed on a route and started off the race! The rabbit shot ahead and ran briskly for some time, Then seeing that he was far ahead of the turtle, He sat under a tree for some time relaxing and soon fell asleep. The turtle plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ. Moral: Slow and steady wins the race! This is the version of the story that we’ve all grown up with, BUT the version of the story continues! The rabbit was disappointed at losing the race and he did s...

Multi-Device generation of the Website!

Image
Hey there Digitalites! How you all have been? So today, I will be talking about Multi-Device generation which is actually the Gen-Next! Having a website was such a big thing earlier, it was so digitally sound. We were able to make our presence felt online. I mean what else we needed if we were having a website. All our potential customers can log in using their laptops and computers and can actually interact with us online, place orders or even fill a lead form! But what if we talk about now? Is it really everything to have a laptop or a desktop compatible website? The answer is “NO”. In my last blog I shared how Digital Channel is growing so keeping that in mind, the people now needs better experience irrespective of the medium or the device . We need to have websites which are compatible to each device which the digital customers uses, be it Mobile, Tablets and even smart TVs and not to mention the laptops and desktops. Below is an info-graphic which shows how people are ...

Year-on-Year Growth of Digital Channel!

Image
Hello People, Ever wondered as how our life has changed , I mean the way we socialize with people be it our friends, relatives and colleagues. Earlier we used to call them, meet them, and have a nice time spent with them over a coffee or beer! But the way digital platform has evolved it has actually changed us big time. I mean long chats on phone has been replaced by WhatsApp Messages , catching friends on weekends has been replaced by Facebook posts and chats , and off course the Birthday greets have are now done on social media . The Social platform has grown vast and will further grow. I have tried portraying the Growth of Digital channel as compared to last 12 months with the help of an Info-Graphic. The stats will themselves explain as how vast the digital channel has grown just in a matter of 12 months. I wonder as how far will this grow further. Special thanks to ( www.piktochart.com ) which has helped me to prepare this info-graphic, I will try to shar...

Smartphones…The Evolution and the Battle to the Top !

Image
There was a time when mobile phones were used just to make a calls or send messages or to listen music and having to have the radio feature was such an augmented thing among the mobile devices that time. Soon, camera phones began to grab all the limelight! From being heavy hardware instruments to small in size to bigger in size and light in weight, the mobile devices had a paradigm shift. Source: Google Earlier, having a bigger phone was such a gimmick but if we talk about the latest trends, having to have a bigger mobile is such a norm . I mean if you guys have seen the latest offering from Apple which is the iPhone 6 and the 6+, the size of the phone is around 5.5 inches and now even Samsung is launching its new flagship which will be around 5.7 inches to 5.8 inches. But what is the factor that is actually driving these companies ? Is it the hardware or the applications that are available in the Mobile App Market?  Or the Software that these companies has to offer ...

Uncertainty or Analytics

Image
Well, Hello Everyone! You guys would be thinking as what kind of topic is this? Most of you would be thinking as I already know what Analytics is, and how to make use of it! Well, If this is what you are thinking then believe you me, you know everything that is happening in this world, though not to mention that if you really know what analytics is then why it happens that despite analysing the credentials you end up saying “Well, there is always a factor of Uncertainty”, because of which you did not end up having the desired results. Source: Google This is the only thing that is actually bothering me from quite a few time now. What is Uncertainty and why most of the questions have answers related to this factor. Source:Google Analytics is just a tool but can be powerful weapon if you know what KPIs and KIAs to look for, but what in actual you analyse? The answer is simple, well you analyse the previous data or try to come up with a trend which again comes from...

Rains and Traffic Jams…!

Image
The Heat-waves in our very own Dilli (New Delhi) were at its peak, and all that we can do is to switch on the AC and be seated and locked inside our homes or offices. And the only hope that anyone can think of is RAIN. And there it comes to the rescue…..The Monsoons as we call it. (Saavan aaya re :P) But with rain comes great jeopardy….The Traffic Jams (:x), I have no idea as how traffic jams are in a direct relation with the rains. I mean do our cars also want to enjoy the rains as I am very confused why with rains comes traffic jams. (Though I only remember what Spiderman said. “With great powers comes great responsibilities”) but how come rain and traffic jams related. Source: Google The roads are the same, the number of cars is the same (though cars are increasing day by day but still) the route remains the same, the leaving time to get to the destination remains the same, but why there is always traffic jams when there is rain. Source: Google Though it i...

Know the "Selfie"!

Image
“AA Beta Selfie Le Le Re” This song of the Bhaijaan's movie is ruling the chart-busters now, but what really is a selfie and how it really came into trend and why how actually it came into existence trend. Online networking and the Social web has offered ascent to a weird wonder called the “Selfie”. However, not everybody is acquainted with the term, so here's a brief about the same. Selfie: A photo/picture of yourself, typically shared on any social media platform. Source: Google That is it, truly. In any case, there's quite a lot more significance behind why we do it, and why its turn out to be such a huge hit. No wonder, the front camera of our mobile devices has finally got a whole new meaning which earlier was used only for Video Calls. :p Selfies are a good way to connect with people and to share as what are you up to, if you are sucked in a traffic jam, there you go... a selfie with the long lines of cars, if it is raining then a rainy selfi...

Are we still is an era of Traditional Analytics?

Image
Source: Google Being a digital marketer myself, monitoring the campaigns performance is a usual and a daily deal and then you have those clients shouting all the time, bawling over the conversions and for those needed website traffic. But believe you me creating a well-structured campaign is not all or optimizing the campaigns once is not all but it is actually a continuous process, you have to be drowned into the reports and those metrics and dimensions of the web analytics tools, be it Page views, Bounce rate, Sessions, Page view/Session and etc. But the thing is being the KPIs these metrics are becoming more traditional approach of analysing the website performance as to perform better and to put in that extra effort you have to start thinking out of the box. Source: Google We all have being living in this Web Analytic world for quite some time now, and then there are marketers and practitioners who actually do all the thinking’s , analyzing and...

#Hashtags : The Next Thing !

Image
From posting pictures on Instagram to tweeting about something on twitter not to mention while posting something on Facebook, We use something which is called as #Hashtags, while some of you may not be knowing about this while others may be using this right now. Talking about me, I make the most of using hashtags. Hashtags are such a noticeable piece of tech culture today (it is making an impact that too for a big time) that it’s not so common to discover any individual who does not realize what they are. Everyone who does spends time on the net be it social media or blogs or anything else, they must have seen a hashtag. And then the hashtags is actually given so much of recognition that it was added to the Oxford Dictionary in the year 2010 and is also added to the Scrabble Dictionary recently. Yet even as the vast majority now know what hashtags are, there are still individuals who do not know how to make use of the Hashtags. Source: Google Hashtags, Once your ...

The Psychology of Digital Indian !

Thinking of either working for a start up or owing one, we really had to give in our 100%, though struggling and battling is the required part and yes trusting our insights and that so called 6 th sense also do helps us a lot. Being a Digital Marketer, I have turned into a sharper and a keen observer and a spectator of what is happening all around the world and how actually it is affecting my surroundings as well.  Ever since the Internet happened, and the flow of information and being social became the tag line of the Internet generation, we happened to became a part of a generation where using Windows as the OS (Though it took time for MAC to reach to us), and reading and watching the brain & thirst interest content on the net, be it documents, images, one liners, tags, interesting contents, you name it! We did got drive into a generation of using (CTRL C + CTRL V), the traditional Copy and paste, and that is where from the problem started. I do not mean tha...

The Ultimate Dilemma !

Talking about time killers, it is actually very boring when you do not have anything to pass the free time. I am about an age when my friends (most of them) have actually married, and some are busy with their spouses. Being a management student, it is my internship time! One year of the college has passed-by another year is yet to be lived. It is really a fun thing when you learn things about the industry in which you are interested in, but what can be done once you reach back home. I mean after a hectic day at work, dealing with the clients, making ppts, giving presentations, doubt clearing session and so on, it does feel relaxed when enroute back home. But once you reach your cave it’s the most boring thing to be lived for. I mean no friends due to the above mentioned obvious reasons though I play guitar (;) not showing off :p), write posts like this and surf the net, but think of it as for long term. When you reach your mid 20’s, you actually belongs to a very niche cate...
