The Psychology of Digital Indian !

Thinking of either working for a start up or owing one, we really had to give in our 100%, though struggling and battling is the required part and yes trusting our insights and that so called 6^th sense also do helps us a lot.

Being a Digital Marketer, I have turned into a sharper and a keen observer and a spectator of what is happening all around the world and how actually it is affecting my surroundings as well. 

Ever since the Internet happened, and the flow of information and being social became the tag line of the Internet generation, we happened to became a part of a generation where using Windows as the OS (Though it took time for MAC to reach to us), and reading and watching the brain & thirst interest content on the net, be it documents, images, one liners, tags, interesting contents, you name it! We did got drive into a generation of using (CTRL C + CTRL V), the traditional Copy and paste, and that is where from the problem started.

I do not mean that we only do this, but after like doing a research on this, the overall start ups you look at, then believe you me that most of them struggle due to the uniqueness that they offer be it the content they use or the images that they actually end up using from Google (They are copyrighted actually ). Indians do really suffer on their content Uniqueness.

- How many of you actually heard about “PLAGIARISM”?
The answer would be shocking, about 70-80% of the Internet users are actually unaware about this word. PLAGIARISM means how much of your content is actually unique and how much is copied through the web. In my university, like me my friends also use Internet as a source of information for their projects and assignments (You can actually find anything on the net, but use your brains :p) but what they actually end up doing is to score a zero, that is because the work goes through the plagiarism test and their content shows 0% uniqueness and hence rejected.

- We really care about cost saving that to for a big time!
Let me give an example, I have so many developer friends, writing codes all day and night and making programs, snippets and etc. but one thing that is very common with the developers is that, They use copy and paste as if they are only born to do so (don’t mind huh! I too do this sometimes :p) just because they do not want to spend hours thinking of new things and the only reason is that they are paid like this, so why would they bother of thinking out-of-the-box. The resources in today’s world are used to the fullest but they are paid less and hence cost cutting so why would the resources bother to do or try new things? It is simple people that saving on the cost all the time, will not deliver you the expected results all the time.

- Our attitude, and deprived quality!
Talking about attitude, I too work for a MNC, which is very reputed both in terms of Name and Fame, but talking about myself, I talk to clients like I am the only one who can deliver the results. (The One: as if I was the NEO of Matrix), but when it comes to the delivery, I use that old traditional way of if this can be done then why to work harder to deliver a more qualitative work since I am getting same returns even if I am not delivering according to my potential. Believe you me, this is our mentality, I am not joking.

- And being Indians, we are born with this one~ how to use shortcuts & then we have got Internet which is free right?
Using shortcut at every aspect of life is what we have been doing from ages, and always think of finding ways as how can we actually save time on everything though that saved time is eventually wasted doing nothing but we do want a shortcut for everything. And if we are unable to find one, we have got Internet to do so, but come on, free source is not always genuine and authentic, everything comes with a rate-card, be in terms of monetary value or the after affects.

We are moving towards a Digital world that will soon swallow us all as if it is a black hole, and if you are thinking of starting with something over the net or if your main source of income is Internet then please do think and act a bit practical as the above mentioned facts will surely be affecting you, the only thing that can help you is to look out for the mentioned factors.
