B-Schools~~ Factors that matters !

Whenever we think of B-Schools, certain names knocks our heads which are quite common, to name a few, they are the IIMs(everyone’s Dream), ISB (The experienced network), and then there are some schools who manage to qualify the race of being amongst the top 20s and off course there are these IVY Colleges (Deep Pockets needed).

But what’s the main objective of getting into a B-schools?
Is it the education, subjects or the Degree?
Can be true for some (nerds :P) but the prime objective is to get:
  • A Diversified culture
  • Good Exposure (in terms of interactions & various events)
  • Professional Networks (Most Important)
  • And then, you get a chance to be a student again :P

And the university or school that makes sure that you get all of the above and also some extra grabbers can actually be considered as personality enhancers no matter  if they are the top schools or some private university, If the school actually manages to contribute towards your growth then you can say that your opportunity cost was high.

As at the end it is the growth, knowledge and the skills you developed that matters and not the degree, so rather than regretting of not getting admission to a dream school it is always better to make the most of the in-hand choice and focus on developing yourself and your personality.

There are several leaders who through their hard & smart work and knowledge were able to earn fame and name in the industry they worked in spite of not having an Ivy College degree or a top B-School degree just because they had that zeal in themselves to get something from their lives.

If we talk about the industries - Everyone wants the correct answer but they does not care as through what method or medium you analysed the inputs and came to your solution, it is always the right & Feasible solution that matters.

So always have that fire & Zeal in yourselves to reach to your final goal, I know someone can ask that going into an IIM is their goal but it is not like that, getting into an IIM or other top schools is just a  step towards your final goal and not the final goal, and remember that your final goal is the answer or the solution that you are looking for and for that you can use any method just like cracking a CAT question using any approach that comes to your mind.

So that’s that for today and since the admission time is approaching, I hope this post of mine could help you with something.
